Windows/DOS downloads

These programs come in the form of .zip files, so if you don't already have it you'll need Winzip 8.0 (Win9x/NT/2000) or Winzip 6.3 (Win 3.x) to unpack them. In most of these downloads you'll find a read.me file.

• Cochlear Mechanics - A series of animations showing the influence of outer hair cell contraction on cochlear mechanics. Thanks to Stephen Neely for supplying the program.
• Filter fitting - These programs estimate auditory filter shapes from notched-noise data. The filters are assumed to have a rounded-exponential shape, and models of various complexity can be fitted depending on the type of data available.

• Loudness model calculated according to ANSI S3.4-2007. - this program calculates loudness from the spectrum of a sound for normally-hearing people according to ANSI S3.4-2007.
